2. Acceptance of Terms

By enrolling a child, purchasing a programme or accepting an Academy offer, the parent or legal guardian acknowledges and agrees to these Terms and Conditions.

Parents are responsible for ensuring that enrolled students understand the applicable participation, behaviour and technology-use requirements.

Additional programme-specific conditions may apply where disclosed before enrolment.

Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

3. Enrolment and Registration

Registration must be completed before a student participates in an Academy programme.

Paid enrolments require payment before participation unless an alternative arrangement has been expressly approved.

Enrolment is subject to:

  • Availability
  • Age suitability
  • Applicable prerequisites
  • Programme capacity
  • Student safety and supervision requirements
  • Payment and registration verification

Parents must provide accurate contact details and relevant student information.

The Academy may verify eligibility and parent-child relationships before approving programme access.

Regular school-term enrolments

Regular term programmes generally accept enrolments at the beginning of each school term.

New enrolments are normally not accepted after Week 2, in the interests of student learning continuity.

A late-enrolment administration fee of AUD 20 applies to relevant term enrolments submitted after the published deadline, where disclosed before enrolment.

Exceptions may be approved by Academy management.

Holiday programmes, digital courses and other short programmes may have different enrolment periods.

4. Programme Fees and Payments

Programme fees are communicated before enrolment.

Australian programme prices are expressed in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable.

International programmes may be offered in other currencies, including Singapore dollars.

Payment is required before paid programme access is granted unless otherwise agreed.

Payments may be processed through approved third-party services, including HighLevel-connected payment facilities and Stripe.

Some programmes require a separate administrator verification and activation process after successful payment.

Payment confirmation does not automatically guarantee immediate access where an approval process is specified.

Any additional charges must be disclosed before purchase.

The late-enrolment, course or term transfer and late-collection charges in these Terms apply to relevant instructor-led programmes. They do not automatically apply to self-paced digital programmes.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

Parents may request cancellation by contacting the Academy.

Cancellation and refund requests are assessed according to the programme purchased, the circumstances and applicable consumer protection laws.

Change-of-mind cancellations

Where a parent voluntarily cancels an enrolment:

  • Requests before programme commencement will be assessed under the applicable programme cancellation arrangements.
  • After instruction or digital access has commenced, change-of-mind refunds are generally not provided.
  • Exceptional circumstances may be considered individually.

The Academy may request reasonable supporting information when assessing exceptional circumstances.

Academy cancellation or service failure

If the Academy cancels a programme or cannot provide a purchased service substantially as described, it will offer an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include a replacement programme, rescheduled delivery, refund or another agreed solution.

Consumer rights

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

A discretionary refund or credit does not replace a consumer's statutory entitlements.

Administration charges

A reasonable administration charge may apply to a discretionary cancellation or transfer only where it has been disclosed before purchase and is legally permitted.

Administration charges do not reduce statutory refund entitlements.

6. Course and Term Transfers

Requests to transfer between programmes or move an enrolment to another term are subject to availability, suitability and Academy approval.

An administration fee of AUD 30 applies to approved course or term transfers where disclosed before enrolment and legally permitted.

Transfers are not automatically guaranteed.

Any price difference between programmes may also apply and will be disclosed before confirming the transfer.

7. Attendance and Punctuality

Students are expected to attend scheduled sessions promptly.

Classes begin at the published start time.

Parents must ensure that children arrive within the designated arrival period and are collected promptly after each session.

Students must not be dropped off before supervision begins or left unattended at Academy venues.

Late collection

A late collection fee of AUD 1 per minute may apply after the official collection time where disclosed before enrolment, reasonably applied and legally permitted.

The Academy may contact parents or designated emergency contacts when a student has not been collected.

Student safety remains the priority.

8. Student Absences and Make-Up Sessions

Parents should notify the Academy before the scheduled class when a student cannot attend.

Make-up sessions may be offered to currently enrolled students, subject to:

  • Prior notification
  • Educator availability
  • Class capacity
  • Programme suitability
  • Applicable venue arrangements

Missed sessions due to family holidays or personal scheduling conflicts do not automatically qualify for a replacement class.

Where notification is received only after a session or at the end of a term, make-up availability may be limited.

Make-up arrangements are not guaranteed unless expressly included in the programme offer or required by law.

9. School Camps and Public Holidays

School-based classes affected by official school camps or public holidays may be rescheduled.

Alternative arrangements may include:

  • Replacement sessions at the participating school
  • Sessions at an approved Academy training centre
  • Instructor-led online sessions
  • Extended classes where suitable

The Academy will communicate applicable arrangements to affected families.

Where the Academy cannot provide the purchased service, an appropriate remedy will be considered in accordance with applicable consumer rights.

10. Student Health and Medical Information

Parents must inform the Academy of relevant medical conditions, allergies, accessibility requirements and learning support needs.

Where applicable, parents should provide medical action plans and appropriate emergency information.

Students who are unwell should not attend in-person classes.

If a child has been absent from school because of illness, parents should not send the child to an after-school Academy session that day.

Allergy awareness

A no-nut policy may apply at Academy teaching venues.

Parents and students must comply with relevant venue-specific allergy and safety requirements.

The Academy will take reasonable measures to support student safety.

11. Child Safety and Supervision

Innovate Forge Academy is committed to providing a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Educators and personnel working with children must meet applicable child-safety screening and safeguarding requirements.

This includes Working With Children Check requirements where applicable.

Students must comply with reasonable safety instructions.

Supervision arrangements depend on the programme format.

Parents remain responsible for appropriate supervision outside designated instructor-led sessions and for home-based self-paced learning.

12. Student Behaviour and Respect

Students must treat educators, other students, parents and Academy personnel respectfully.

The Academy does not tolerate:

  • Bullying
  • Harassment
  • Discrimination
  • Aggressive or threatening behaviour
  • Deliberate disruption
  • Conduct that compromises the safety or wellbeing of others

Where behaviour concerns arise, the Academy may:

  1. Discuss expectations with the student.
  2. Contact the parent or guardian.
  3. Agree on appropriate behaviour-improvement measures.
  4. Temporarily restrict participation where necessary.
  5. Suspend or terminate participation in serious or continuing circumstances.

The Academy will consider relevant circumstances fairly and consistently with applicable consumer and child-safety obligations.

13. Parent Participation and Classroom Access

Parents are generally not permitted to remain inside Academy classrooms during instructor-led lessons.

This policy allows students to develop independence and enables educators to focus on learning activities.

Exceptions may be approved for accessibility, safeguarding, medical or other appropriate circumstances.

Parents are encouraged to communicate with educators outside scheduled teaching time.

Walk-in enquiries during classes may not be accommodated because educators are responsible for supervising students.

Appointments can be arranged by contacting the Academy.

14. Equipment and Learning Materials

Students must handle Academy equipment, devices and learning resources responsibly.

Academy equipment must not be removed without authorisation.

Students must follow instructions relating to:

  • Robotics equipment
  • Computers and tablets
  • Electronic components
  • Learning kits
  • Classroom furniture
  • Shared materials

Where deliberate or negligent damage occurs, the Academy may seek reasonable, substantiated compensation from the responsible party, subject to applicable law.

Normal wear and tear is excluded.

15. Responsible Digital Citizenship

Students must use technology responsibly and respectfully.

Students must not:

  • Share account credentials
  • Access another person's account or learning records
  • Engage in cyberbullying
  • Distribute proprietary learning materials without authorisation
  • Misuse software or digital resources
  • Attempt to bypass platform security
  • Submit harmful or inappropriate content

Parents are encouraged to discuss responsible technology use with their children.

The Academy may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect students, educators or platform security.

16. Innovate Forge App and Digital Learning

Innovate Forge App is an educational platform providing access to selected learning activities, projects, assessments and progress records.

Access depends on the student's approved enrolment, subscription, trial or other valid entitlement.

Student accounts

Student accounts must be used only by authorised users.

Parents must provide accurate information and must not create duplicate accounts to circumvent programme restrictions.

Trials

Trial programmes provide access to the activities specified in the relevant trial offer.

Trial access is subject to applicable approval, duration and eligibility requirements.

A free trial does not automatically convert into a paid subscription or programme.

Paid upgrades

Parents may purchase additional access through approved enrolment and payment processes.

Paid access may require successful payment verification and separate administrator approval.

Programme expiry

Some programmes have fixed access periods.

Learning activities may become unavailable when the relevant entitlement expires.

Where technically supported, previously saved student work may remain available in read-only form, subject to account, privacy and retention requirements.

Expiry of one programme does not automatically terminate independently valid access to another programme.

17. Holiday Programmes

Holiday programmes may be delivered through:

  • In-person workshops
  • Instructor-led online classes
  • Self-paced digital learning
  • Combined learning packages

Each programme offer will specify its price, dates, inclusions and access conditions.

Students enrolled in self-paced programmes are expected to complete activities during the published access period.

Educator assistance, assessments, project reviews and parent reporting are provided only where included in the relevant programme.

Public holiday closures and support availability may vary by market.

18. Private Coaching and Individual Sessions

Private coaching and tutoring sessions are subject to their stated booking arrangements.

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • At least 24 hours' notice should be provided for rescheduling requests.
  • Sessions commence and finish at their scheduled times.
  • Arrival more than 15 minutes late without notice may be treated as a missed session.
  • Missed appointments may incur the applicable session fee where disclosed before booking and legally permitted.
  • Emergency circumstances may be reviewed individually.

These arrangements do not exclude statutory remedies where the Academy fails to provide a purchased service.

19. Assessments, Progress Reports and Certification

The Academy may offer:

  • Learning assessments
  • Progress tracking
  • Educator feedback
  • Parent progress reports
  • Achievement badges
  • Certification examinations

Assessment and certification eligibility requirements will be communicated before registration.

Some examinations may require current Academy enrolment.

Certificates are issued only when the relevant assessment requirements have been satisfied.

Programme participation does not guarantee certification or a particular educational outcome.

The Academy may request permission to capture photographs, videos or examples of student work.

Consent will distinguish between appropriate educational documentation and optional public promotional use.

Public marketing use of identifiable student images requires appropriate consent.

Parents may decline optional promotional photography without preventing their child from enrolling.

Consent preferences will be recorded and respected.

21. Intellectual Property and Student Work

The Academy retains intellectual property rights in its:

  • Curriculum
  • Teaching resources
  • Learning activities
  • Assessments
  • Software
  • Branding
  • Proprietary educational materials

Students retain rights in their original creative work, subject to any third-party materials used.

The Academy may store and process student work as reasonably necessary to deliver educational services, maintain progress records and provide feedback.

Public promotional use of identifiable student work will require appropriate permission.
