At Innovate Forge Academy, our Creative Writing & Storytelling pathway encourages students to discover their imagination, develop their writing skills and find their individual creative voice.
Through guided writing activities, storytelling, coaching and constructive feedback, students explore how language can communicate ideas, experiences and imagination.
Students learn to develop characters, build fictional worlds, organise narratives, experiment with language and refine their writing.
As their skills develop, they can progress towards creating original stories, participating in young authors' workshops and preparing selected works for publication.
Our approach values creativity, individual expression, independent thinking and progressive development.
Students are encouraged to explore their own ideas rather than simply reproduce model answers.
The pathway accommodates different ages, experience levels and writing interests.
Students do not need to complete every course sequentially.
Educators help families identify an appropriate starting point.

Authorship & publication
Creative ownership, protected.
Enrolment does not give the academy unrestricted rights to reproduce, sell or commercially exploit student writing, and commercial publication is never guaranteed. Students are not required to disclose personal, family or emotional experiences; this is creative education, not therapeutic writing or mental health treatment.
Student authorship
Students retain appropriate rights to their original work. Educator feedback supports—not replaces—the student's own thinking and writing.
Originality & attribution
Age-appropriate guidance covers originality, copyright, permissions and attribution for source material, images and collaborative contributions.
Privacy & consent
Private class sharing is different from public publication. Identifiable work, names, photographs or personal details require appropriate permission.
Safe publication
Public sharing, competitions, commercial distribution and third-party publishing require separate review and approval where applicable.
Responsible AI
AI tools are not promised. Any future use must preserve student authorship, privacy, independent thinking and age-appropriate safeguards.
Creative choice
Students are not required to disclose personal, family or emotional experiences; fictional and alternative prompts remain available.
